Egg and tuna "volcano" toast

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of sliced bread;

  • 1 can of natural tuna;

  • 2 eggs;

  • ¼ red onion;

  • ¼ red pepper;

  • ¼ yellow pepper;

  • 50g grated mozzarella cheese;

  • Oregano (qb);

  • Salt (qb);

Preparation Method

  1. Grease a tray with olive oil;

  2. Use the opening of a glass to open a hole in 2 of the 4 slices of bread;

  3. Position the 2 intact slices of bread on the base of the tray;

  4. Place the 2 slices with openings on top of the slices placed on the base of the tray;

  5. Press the corners slightly to connect the 2 slices;

  6. Cut the onion and peppers into small pieces and set aside;

  7. Add an egg to each opening;

  8. Place the desired amount of red onion on top of each egg;

  9. Then add the tuna;

  10. Add the desired amount of red and yellow pepper;

  11. Finish with grated mozzarella cheese, oregano and salt;

  12. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 180ºC;

We all have those days when we don't feel like cooking anything too complex. We want something quick and, preferably, tasty, like fast food. However, we are increasingly trying to select nutritious and low-processed options.

That's exactly why I created this tuna and egg “volcano” toast. It is an authentic explosion of flavors, super nutritious and satiating, and brings together all the macronutrients essential for a good meal.
